ColourSpace Logo

ColourSpace is the most capable and feature-rich display calibration and color management systems (CMS) solution for high-end Home Cinema users.

ColourSpace offers a wide range of tools and capabilities to enable the generation of accurate 3D LUTs for precise display calibration, including profile matching for monitors and projectors.

ColourSpace enables unprecedented and previously unachievable levels of accuracy and data reporting for display calibration, color management, and color workflows within the professional Film, Post-Production, & Broadcast industries, as well as for Display Manufacturers and Home Cinema enthusiasts.

The Home Cinema versions of ColourSpace CMS are not limited or cut-down versions.

Instead, they are the same as used within the professional market for high-end color management without compromises, guaranteeing the highest possible level of display calibration and color control.

Knowing you are using the same system as used in professional post-production facilities, where film, movies, and TV programs are color graded, guarantees the images seen will match perfectly the look intended by the film's DoP and Director.

The most visually impressive capabilities within ColourSpace revolve around the unique graphics capabilities, combined with interactive data manipulation, with 3D CIE, XYZ, and normalized Colour Space Graphs, including Error Tangent lines and color-coded measure points.

New user-defined patch color sequences have been implemented for manual TV CMS adjustments, allowing any patch sequences to be imported for either manual or automated measurements.

New Remote Control integration allows for the development of third-party programs to both control ColourSpace as well as receive data from ColourSpace, enabling additional color management processes outside the direct capabilities of ColourSpace.

But, the most significant new capability of ColourSpace is that it enables future flexibility.

The new code base has been developed to allow unrestricted future development of new calibration tools, graphical layouts, direct data interactivity, and more.

ColourSpace offers a new approach to calibration and calibration tools.

ColourSpace Home Cinema Software Licence Levels

The Home Cinema versions of LightSpace CMS make the professional calibration of home displays exceptionally fast and easy, without the need for pre-set and limited workflows or extensive knowledge of color theory.

There two different ColourSpace Home Cinema Software License Versions: ColourSpace HTL & ColourSpace HTP.

Meter Support and access to LUT Manipulation Filters are the only differences between that two LightSpace Home Cinema Versions.

Both versions share the same features as the main ColourSpace CMS (Full Version) but are limited to export 3D LUTs to eeColor 3D LUT Box, Q, Inc / Murideo Prisma Video Processor, madVR Envy (PRO/Extreme) Video Processors, or Lumagen Radiance / Radiance 2XXX / Radiance Pro 4x4x Video Processors only, as these are the only LUT Devices in the Home Cinema Market with HDMI In-Out.

Additionally, ColourSpace HTL/HTP can export 'Light Illusion' 1D LUT VCGT (Video Card Gamma Table) for SpaceMatch DCM or 65-Point 3D LUT for SpaceMan ICC.

Calibration of displays connected to a madVR based Home Cinema system using ColourSpace HTL/HTP is straightforward, with integration for profiling and LUT direct upload madVR Video Renderer.

Meter Profiling with WRGB OLEDs

ColourSpace uses a more advanced meter profiling method to fix meter profiling calculation issues introduced with WRGB OLEDs when regular meter profiling is used.

The traditional '4 Colour Matrix Method (FCMM)' meter profiling method is not suitable for non-additive displays.

It's called '4 Colour Volumetric Matching' (FCVM).

That meter profiling method is not available in LightSpace.

LightSpace uses 4 Colour Matrix Method (FCMM).

ColourSpace has available a WRGB OLED meter spectral correction table (X-Rite EDR file) suitable for WRGB OLED panel-based users of i1Display PRO.

X-Rite i1Display PRO SDK has an OLED spectral correction table suitable for Sony Broadcast RGB OLED.

ColourSpace users of i1Display PRO have available spectral correction tables for both RGB and WRGB OLEDs.

ColorSpace Software Free Updates - No Annual Fees!

ColourSpace provides free software updates for several years.

In comparison, LightSpace has provided 12 years of free updates already.

Alternative software solutions based on annual fee models.

For example, CalMAN Home has one year of updates.

Customers will have to re-buy CalMAN Home at full price ($149) every year to keep the software updated.

That detail is hidden from CalMAN Store for the software to look 'cheaper'.

CalMAN Studio / CalMAN Video PRO 'currently' has $495, while CalMAN Ultimate $795 annual fees for updates.

When a CalMAN customer misses paying for two years of Studio/Video PRO/Ultimate All-access, he has to pay for all years he missed to pay to get the latest updates.

CalMAN Studio / Video PRO until 31 January 2019 had $295 annual fees, however starting from 1 February 2019, it increased to $495 per year, with no guarantee for any price increase in the near future.

ColourSpace is not based on any annual fee models, so customers will always get free updates until the end of the product's life.
